I have just received Gene Hunt's Rules of Modern policing from ebay, it is issued to Chris Skelton and full of important bits on how to keep the Guv sweet.

He so obviously doesn't like women in the force!!!

Chris hasn't half made a mess of this book!! It's tea stained, and bloody fingerprints everywhere!!

I have some scans to put up but they are only specimens and not good for printing.

This is hilarious, you can tell Gene wrote it. I am amazed hwoever, that he managed ot keep his attention on it long enough for six pages!!!!

Looks great Fran!

I ordered one from eBay and I am eagerly awaiting its arrival. After looking at your images I know I made the right decision getting one. Thanks for posting.

I think the seller should thank us personally for advertising his wares!!

I wonder if this is official or not?

I got my copy last night and had a good laugh reading it. I also got Chris' version.

I wonder how many versions they made. Does anybody know?

The guy I bought from had one Ray Carling but I think all of them were Chris Skelton.

The Ray Carlin one is hand written, but it is a good laugh.

They are already selling Radio times on ebay at £2.99!
You can still get it in the newsagents for goodness sake!

oh sorry what I mean is that they are selling it while it is still hot off the press, but your friend has sent you one, and not only that they will be turning up on ebay like no-one's business.

My sister had the same problem when 'Friends' started

I don't know Jez, I bought mine on ebay.

Don't worry - you'll catch up on all the stuff to see - and there's plenty of it.

Bought this book today, haven't read any of it yet but it looks like a great read Boogie I have a request though: would it be possible for anyone to post a scan of that gorgeous pic of Gene at the start of the book here? Please with a cherry on top!

Just ignore my previous post, I'd had a few drinks when I posted it, resulting in a cringy combination of words Embarassed Well, not that bit about the book being brilliant, that still stands Laughing I managed to get the picture scanned anyway (using my niece's computer), so the request is invalid now Laughing

What book? The Rules Of Modern Policing by Gene Hunt, of course - the one stated in the title of this thread... ;)
